Colour choices

This is basically what our colour selection is going to be, with benchtops being so close we will choose the closest to what we want on Monday.

External
Roof-ebony/gunmetal grey
brick-grays point
gutter and garage door- momentum
fascia and window-classic cream

internal
walls-whisper white
roof-vivid white
floor-wood look laminate throughout

The two bathrooms are different due to having stone in one and not the other, we decided white laminate bench would not date well in a bathroom.

These were using studio m envisage site, it is awesome has a great
range of choices and anyone can use it.

Start of blog and final drawings

My name is chris and my partners is ash, we are building the talbot 28 by metricon. This will be out on polsson st in brooks reach, horsley. We have received our final drawings with a few minor mistakes. Our sales rep at brooks reach has been incredibly helpful, though i feel head office is a little slow and disorganised.

This is the comparison of final drawing and the standard design, there are quite a few changes. Some were quite inexpensive, such as the kitchen redesign which saw the return island be replaced by a deeper straight with cupboards on the other side. Things such as the outdoor room and workshop in the garage obviously cost quite a bit, but the outdoor room realistically is only a few more thousand then a standard steel roof done after hand over and this is much more appealing. The errors in the final drawings were little things as the en-suite shower was made bigger in previous drawings as part of the en-suite upgrade, gas points moved (told by sales rep to inform studio m on positioning). The 1500 feature wall to the rumpus will now be dropped to 1200, we realised that 1500 would look awkwardly high. So far so good, we have studio m appointment on Monday. We are having quite simple colour scheme mostly white with black splash backs and the likes and wood look laminate throughout, Personally i think black and white look classy and bringing in just splashes of colour is perfect. The lindrum display is a perfect example of black and white looking classy, http://www.metricon.com.au/nsw/homes/lindrum/images. Obviously our budget is substantially less but the look is still quality, its also protects the houses worth.
